Laurie Durnell
Laurie Durnell, Director of Consulting with The Grove Consultants International, applies 25+ years of diverse experience in facilitation, strategy formation, team development and management training, to her work in organizational consulting and information design. Laurie works across the spectrum from not-for-profits to global corporations, and trains people in The Grove’s methodology.
Laurie brings The Grove's pioneering work in visual planning and organization change to team development on projects with Global Team Impact. She believes that people - and organizations - are more vital and empowered when working creatively with one another, much like living things in nature. Laurie is known for her highly visual way of working and her collaborative style. At the heart of this work is her appreciation that people’s ability to understand and respond to complexity is greatly enhanced when they can literally see what is happening and are directly involved in the process.
Laurie’s work is informed by early experiences directing companies in team/leadership development and adventure education. She has an MBA & a B.S in Conservation of Natural Resources. When she isn’t facilitating, Laurie thrives on bird watching, sea kayaking, facilitating SoulCollage, and gardening with native plants.
